Combine nature-based experiences with opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and practical engagement with leading outdoor organisations in Sweden.
Here you can explore a selection of outdoor activities planned for the conference – ranging from climate walks to high ropes courses. The programme will be updated continuously, and during the spring you will be able to sign up for selected activities directly on this website.
Through guided stops and open dialogue, participants will explore key aspects of the climate system, the causes and consequences of climate change, and possible paths forward. The walk offers an opportunity to engage with climate science in a direct, outdoor setting that encourages reflection, discussion, and shared learning.

There is no better way to understand the value of nature than to step into it. The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (Naturskyddsföreningen) invites participants to join a guided foraging walk at Södra Berget. Together, we will explore the forest in search of edible berries and mushrooms, while learning more about biodiversity, sustainable use of natural resources, and the importance of protecting our natural environments.

Join us for a visit to Torvströmyran at Södra Berget, where a former drained peatland is being restored. For more than a century, peatlands in Sweden were drained for forestry and agriculture, leading to significant carbon dioxide emissions.
By blocking old drainage ditches and raising the water level, the municipality is now restoring the wetland — reducing emissions while improving conditions for plants and wildlife. During the visit, you will learn about the restoration process and the important role wetlands play in climate mitigation and biodiversity.

Experience mountain biking at Södra Berget together with experienced guides. Cykelfrämjandet (Swedish National Cycling Advocacy Organisation) invites participants to join guided mountain bike rides in the Södra Berget Bike Arena. The area offers a well-developed network of trails designed for different skill levels. Whether you are new to mountain biking or an experienced rider, there will be opportunities to ride, learn, and explore the trails together in a safe and welcoming setting.

Learn the basics of orienteering and discover how maps can help you navigate in nature. Orienteering is a valuable skill in itself and also forms the foundation for many other outdoor activities. Participants will first receive a short introduction to map reading and navigation, followed by the opportunity to put these skills into practice in the forest close to the venue.
Hosted by/location: Sundsvalls Orienteringsklubb, Hotell Södra Berget
