Join us in Sundsvall at Södra Berget for Euro’Meet 2026, a three-day conference focused on sustainable and accessible outdoor sports and recreation (friluftsliv) for all.
Explore the stunning Nordic outdoors, connect with the European outdoor community, and be inspired by workshops, seminars, and practical outdoor sessions. The conference will focus on three key themes – Togetherness & Strong civil movement, Access & Accessibility, and Inclusion & Diversity.
Registration for Euro’Meet 2026 is now open, with early-bird rates available for a limited time.
You can also explore the first draft of the three-day conference programme, learn more about selected outdoor activities, and find practical information on travel to and accommodation in Sundsvall.
In the months leading up to the conference, we will introduce speakers, organisers, and contributors through a series of mini interviews – offering insights into the people, ideas, and perspectives that shape Euro’Meet 2026.
It’s time to secure your place among colleagues, practitioners, researchers, and outdoor enthusiasts from across Europe for three days of shared experiences, open knowledge-sharing, and meaningful conversations.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Sundsvall for an unforgettable Euro’Meet 2026 experience – with plenty of networking, knowledge sharing, and maybe even a traditional Swedish fika!

Influence and contribute – submit now
Share your ideas and help shape Euro’Meet 2026. The call for workshop proposals, poster presentations, and nominations for the ENOS Awards is now open. Submit your contribution before march 31st via the ENOS website using the links below, and be part of the exchange of knowledge, experience, and inspiration.
Participants can enjoy a mix of indoor sessions and outdoor activities. Explore Nordic nature through hiking, trail running, mountain biking, yoga, forest bathing, and more.
Alongside these experiences, the conference offers opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and hands-on engagement with leading outdoor organisations in Sweden.
Which activities will you choose?
Euro’Meet 2026 takes place at Södra Berget Hotel & Conference, offering comfortable accommodation, modern conference facilities, a spa, and direct access to trails and outdoor activity areas – all set in the natural surroundings of Sundsvall.
Special accommodation rates will be available for conference participants.
Getting to Sundsvall
Sundsvall is easy to reach from across Europe and Sweden. The train is the most convenient and sustainable option, with frequent connections from Stockholm and Stockholm Arlanda Airport in just over three hours. Car and air travel are also possible.
A successful conference depends on a strong programme, engaging activities, and an inspiring setting. But above all, it is about the people who take part. Participants are the ones who share knowledge, open doors, and together create memorable experiences. That is why you can already get to know some of the individuals who will be contributing to Euro’Meet 2026 in Sundsvall through our series of mini interviews.
The conference takes place in proximity to Höga Kusten (High Coast), a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site known for its dramatic coastline, stunning landscapes, and unique Nordic nature. Just a short distance from Sundsvall, the area offers unforgettable opportunities for outdoor adventures and connecting with nature.
There will be opportunities to explore the area before and after the conference, with special offers on tours.
Hosted by Svenskt Friluftsliv and partners, Euro’Meet 2026 unites outdoor organisations, universities, and local authorities to promote sustainable, inclusive, and climate-conscious outdoor sports and friluftsliv.

Conference Themes
Togetherness & The potential in a strong outdoor movement
Focusing on collaboration and collective action, this theme explores how working together — as organisations, communities, and countries — can strengthen the outdoor movement and tackle societal challenges like sedentary lifestyles, climate change, and loneliness.
Access & Accessibility
This theme is about making outdoor spaces and activities available to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. It covers managing nature areas for outdoor sports, improving physical access to nature, reducing barriers to participation, and ensuring inclusive opportunities in clubs and outdoor programs. There will be a special focus on the unique allemansrätten (public’s right to use nature regardless of land ownership).
Inclusion & Diversity
Focusing on welcoming everyone into the outdoor sports movement, this theme highlights the importance of diversity, inclusion and public health — cultural, social, and demographic. It’s about creating environments where all people feel invited, respected, and able to fully participate in outdoor activities in nature.
A first draft of the programme will be published early in 2026.
